SALE ITEM - SOLD AS SEEN!

This listing is for a single 20cm tile featuring the number "91" in our popular blue flower design on a blue background.

Listed as second as there may be a couple of imperfections, as this was created as a prototype tile. This is one of our hard-wearing Fired Ink tiles - and comes with a hanging strip attached to the back (as shown).

Tiles are not great candidates for shipping, being both heavy and fragile! However I have now shipped DoodlePippin tiles all over the world, with remarkably few breakages.

Making time:  Heat printed tiles made in my studio will take 3-5 days from order to dispatch.

Kiln-fired (Fired Ink) tiles take longer. You can expect them to be dispatched 3-4 weeks after they're ordered.

Your tiles will be sent to the address given by you in your order, (please make sure it's the correct one as parcels sent to the "wrong" address are non-refundable).

My standard UK shipping is Royal Mail Second Class Tracked for small parcels, and DPD or another parcel courier for larger packages over 2kg. A contact number to enable the courier to get in touch with you is extremely useful and in some cases required.

Royal Mail Second Class aims to get your parcel to you in 3-5 business days (including Saturdays). Obviously Christmas, Easter and bank holidays are a bit more of a lottery! If I know there's a problem or a delay, I will contact you via email to let you know.

International shipping:

Unfortunately, since the advent of Covid, the cost of international shipping has gone through the roof. The shipping cost will be based on the weight and size of your parcel.

Please bear in mind that overseas orders can be subject to unexpected and sometimes very lengthy delays that are outside of my control (eg hold ups in customs).

If you are concerned about local taxes and import duties that your parcel might attract, please check with your local tax / import duty authorities before you order.

NB: Shipping to Europe post-Brexit

As of 1st January 2021, shipping items from the UK to European Union countries is unpredictable.
New import duties and other charges are likely to apply. These may include import duties imposed by your local government, and courier charges imposed for collecting and handling these duties.
I know nothing about the tax and import arrangements in your particular area,  and I am not responsible for them.
No refunds will be issued if your parcel is returned to me as a result of you choosing not to pay legitimate import duties.
If you are worried about having to pay import duty, taxes or courier charges, please check with your local tax / import duty authorities BEFORE ORDERING.

The main difference between my heat printed DoodlePippin tiles, and the kiln-fired 'Fired Ink' version, is in their intended use.

colour wheel
Colour is very subjective at the best of times. And every PC, phone and tablet screen shows colours differently, too.
So if you’re trying to match a particular fabric or colour scheme, or aren't 100% sure, I’d strongly recommend buying a sample before going ‘all in’!
I often include video snippets in listings as I find video in daylight is a better guide to how an item looks “in the flesh".
_
Bear in mind too, that pieces produced in one week may look subtly (or even markedly) different to those produced a month later.  For example, a sample tile ordered in June is unlikely to be identical to a batch I make in September.
_
Specifications, designs, colourways and availability are subject to change without notice.
However I do hold onto old designs, so if you want something and can't see it listed, please contact me.
I make tiles in two different "finishes" - DoodlePippin and Fired Ink.
They're both normal ceramic tiles, but the design is applied in different ways, making them suitable for different uses / applications.
DoodlePippin logo

DoodlePippin Tiles
- base is a normal ceramic tile
- the design is heat-printed onto the surface at 200 degrees
- made in my home studio
- restricted range of sizes
- perfect for decorative use in low traffic areas
- not suitable for high temperatures / flame
- in high UV areas (eg conservatories / outdoors) the design may gradually fade
- accurate reproduction of the colours of the original 'cane'
- not very scratch resistant
- normal non-abrasive cleaning is fine
Fired Ink Logo

Fired Ink tiles
- base is a normal tile - usually porcelain
- the design is kiln-fired onto the surface at 900 degrees
- have to be sent off to be fired, and therefore
- take around 4-6 weeks from order to dispatch
- can be made in a very wide range of sizes, from mosaics to 60cm across
- three different finishes including gloss, satin, and full non-slip
- suitable for all areas, including floors, swimming pools and exteriors
- colours are often more muted than heat-printed originals
- scratch resistant and UV stable

I want you to be 100% delighted with your purchase. So if for any reason you are not, please let me know!

Below you'll find my general Returns, Refunds and Exchanges policy.

     ________________________________________________

    FAULTY or DAMAGED ITEMS

If you find there's a problem with your order, please contact me within 7 days of delivery

Let me know what's happened and what you'd like me to do.

On faulty items, I offer prompt replacement or a refund as standard.

    _________________________________________________

    NON-FAULTY ITEMS

Most of my pieces (including tiles, mugs, chopping boards, coasters etc) are made to order.

As a courtesy, I do accept returns on most made-to-order pieces (exceptions are listed below).

BUT I reserve the right to charge a 50% restocking fee, and to impose a maximum refund limit of £250.

In other words, you'll get a refund of 50% of the purchase price once I’ve received the undamaged item/s back, up to a maximum of £250.

This is because all returned items have to be checked, photographed, and re-listed - at a big discount - as 'ready-made' sale sets  (like these)

I also have to find somewhere to store them until they are resold, which might be years.

(Click here to see where most returns end up

I operate a different policy with single tile samples. On individual tile samples, I will refund 100% of the purchase price of the tiles once they're back with me.

Shipping is non-refundable in either direction.

Glass Splashbacks: As they are made to order in bespoke sizes, all glass splashbacks are non-returnable and non-refundable. Please check your dimensions carefully before ordering!

Wallpaper: As wallpaper is printed to order, it is non-refundable and non-returnable. Please check you're ordering exactly the right paper type and quantity for your project.

If you find a fault, or the wrong item has been delivered, please contact me and I'll arrange for a replacement to be dispatched as soon as possible.

    USE CONTRARY TO GUIDELINES

Intended use and limitations are clearly stated in the listing.

For instance, intense heat / flame / abrasives / chemical cleaners may harm decorative finishes.

Take note of the care instructions / useage guidelines before using or installing your item/s.

I can't refund items that have been used, or installed, contrary to their intended use or stated limitations.

      HOW TO RETURN ITEMS

If you have items to return, please...

    1. Contact me to let me know what's gone wrong and to work out how to proceed. This is because, in a busy studio, an 'unnanounced' parcel may sit unopened for weeks. It may even get unpacked and put away without me knowing.
    2. Send pictures if your items are faulty or damaged. I need these to claim on my postal insurance; refunds can't be issued without them.
    3. Package items to be returned in the the same manner as they were shipped, using the same appropriately protective layers.
    4. Get proof of postage. I would strongly recommend a tracked service, as I can't refund items that go missing, or arrive damaged.

I will issue a refund as soon as the piece arrives back safely on my desk, but depending on your payment method, it may take several days for the refund to be processed.
