This beautiful toughened glass tile is a true multi-tasker: a gorgeous serving platter / a top-notch cutting board / a heatproof kitchen trivet / a lovely table protector.
The fun fish bone pattern has echoes of Scandinavian design and makes your kitchen workspace beautiful - even when you aren't actually using it! The design started life as a millefiori pattern, created in clay by Ruth Winchester of DoodlePippin.
This elegant accessory will brighten any kitchen - a fantastic gift for any keen cook, and a great new home gift.
€¢ Measures 20 x 28 cm (7.9 x 11 inches)
€¢ Doubles as a beautifully stylish serving platter for bread and olives, delicious pastries, cupcakes, quiches, tarts or canapes.
€¢ Heat proof glass means you can safely put boiling pans onto the trivet, avoiding damage to your table top or worktop.
€¢ Four rubber feet lift the glass off your worktop, protecting it from hot items
€¢ A smart "DoodlePippin" seal is on the reverse of the board, to mark it as an original & unique design
€¢ Odour and stain resistant
€¢ Handwash and dry please. The glass surface is tough and hardwearing but the reverse side (which carries the design) will scratch and fade if put through the dishwasher

THE DESIGN
I personally hand-print all of my cookware items at my home studio in Reigate, England, using only my own designs.
€¢ All my patterns arise from my work as a polymer artist, particularly from the ancient glassworking technique, "Millefiori". which I use a lot.
€¢ Many of my patterns have been compared to those of the famous 19th Century fabric and wallpaper designer William Morris, but millefiori can also produce stunning geometric patterns such as this one.
CURIOUS about how the I use the Millefiori technique to create these beautiful patterns?
