This toughened glass splash is made up of a lovely mix of original millefiori designs, which together look like a tiled surface.

Loads of different small tiles, in various shades of turquoise, blue, green and teal will add some colour and pattern to your kitchen or bathroom, as well as being hard wearing, heat proof, and easy to clean (as well as super easy to install!)

Toughened glass splashbacks are...

  • A great alternative to tiles
  • Simple and quick to install
  • Hardwearing, scratch resistant and incredibly easy to clean
  • Heatproof to 400 degrees C.
  • 6mm thick, toughened glass with smooth bevelled corners and edges
  • Low iron glass means colours are bright and vibrant.
  • Designed and made in England.
  • The rear of the glass is 'foiled' (like a mirror) to prevent anything behind showing through the glass.
  • The design is completely opaque and the glass can be installed over existing tiles or other decor - the surface just needs to be as clean and flat as possible.
  • In most cases a tube or two of silicone (supplied) is sufficient to attach the splashback permanently and securely to the wall.
  • If you'd rather have drilled holes and screw fixings, select the appropriate option at checkout.
  • Can't see the design you want? Any of my designs can be turned into a splashback - just contact me with your requirements (sizes and which design you want).

More info:

These splashbacks are made in a specialist workshop near me in Sussex, using state-of-the-art digital printing technology.Once you've placed the order for the size you want, I always email you a proof of the design you've chosen, in the correct size for your glass. This means you can check the scale and position of the design, before we send it off to be made.Once printed, they are hand-finished with a strong foil backing, carefully packed for safe transit, and shipped by tracked courier. (Silicone will arrive in a separate parcel).

There are over 30 standard sizes available, which normally take around 7-15 days between order and delivery to most parts of the UK.

Almost any size and shape can be created, including cut-outs for sockets and switches. If you need a bigger or more complicated shape, just let me know and I'll get a quote for you. Bespoke sizes may take slightly longer from order to delivery.Any of my designs can be made into a splashback - if you can't see the design you want, let me know and I'll do a mock-up for you.

They are also available as bespoke sized worktop protectors / chopping boards - please ask!

Due to the high cost of shipping overseas, these are currently only available in the UK. If you would like me to get a quote for sending further afield, please contact me.

Please note: As they are made to order in bespoke sizes, all glass splashbacks are non-returnable and non-refundable.Please check your dimensions carefully before ordering!

If you find a fault, or the wrong item has been delivered, please contact me and I'll arrange for a replacement to be dispatched as soon as possible.

As bespoke splashbacks are non-returnable if they don't fit, it's worth measuring really carefully!

A 2mm to 3mm expansion gap is required around the perimeter of a glass splashback to allow for thermal expansion, and to prevent it from cracking due to minor wall or unit movement.
This small gap should be measured and accounted for during the measurement process and then filled with a low modulus silicone sealant after the splashback is in place.

Why is a gap necessary?
Thermal expansion: Glass, like most materials, expands and contracts with changes in temperature. A gap prevents the glass from putting too much pressure on adjacent surfaces.
Wall and unit movement: Walls and kitchen units can also subtly move over time due to moisture and temperature fluctuations. A small gap provides tolerance for this movement, reducing the risk of the glass cracking.

How to ensure the correct gap:
Measure accurately: Measure the wall space for your splashback multiple times and at different points.
Deduct the gap: When taking your final measurements, deduct the 2-3mm gap from each edge that will meet a fixed surface like a countertop or a corner.
Use tile spacers: If needed, you can use small tile spacers to maintain the gap during installation.
Apply sealant: Once the splashback is installed, fill the gap with a solvent-free, low-modulus silicone sealant to provide a watertight seal and a clean finish.

FITTING / INSTALLATION FOR GLASS SPLASHBACKS
For splashbacks with drilled fixing holes, your splashback should include a fixing kit which includes screws and screw caps.

Splashbacks without fixing holes require a suitable silicone for fitting. This should normally be included in the parcel, but in some cases may arrive separately.
Please ensure that you use a low modulus, neutral cure silicone - other sealants may cause a reaction with the paint or print on the back of the glass splashback.

Fitting Preparation
Unpack your glass splashback very carefully. Always place the splashback on a soft surface.
Printed glass splashbacks will have foil backing applied to the rear. This opaque layer stays on the glass (don't peel if off!).
Always 'dry fix' or 'offer up' the glass before drilling the wall or applying adhesive.

Fixing using adhesive
If your splashback is free standing you will need a support at the bottom to hold it still while the silicone dries / goes off.  This can be removed after 24 hours once the adhesive has cured.
If your splashback is sitting on a worktop or upstand, no support is required.
Apply enough strips of adhesive to the back of the glass from one side to the
other in 100mm intervals.
Carefully place your splashback into the desired position and press firmly against it for 30 seconds.
The silicone can also be used around the edges of the glass to seal them and give a professional finish.

Fixing using screws
Position your splashback on to the wall and mark each hole with a pencil,
making it very clear where the centre of the hole is.
Using a digital detecting device, check that there are no pipes or cables behind where you have marked.
Drill using the correct drill bit that matches the rawl plug and wall material.

Finishing
It's fairly common practice to use silicone to seal around the edges of the glass after it has been fitted; this prevents moisture or dirt getting in, and leaves a tidy edge.

If you have end up with a gap around the edge that is visible / annoys you, it can be filled with a compound like Builders Caulk which, when dry, can be overpainted with the colour of your choice.

FAULTY or DAMAGED ITEMS

Let me know what's happened and what you'd like me to do.

On faulty items, I offer prompt replacement or a refund as standard.

NON-FAULTY ITEMS

Most of my pieces (including tiles, mugs, chopping boards, coasters etc) are made to order.

As a courtesy, I do accept returns on most made-to-order pieces (exceptions are listed below).

BUT I reserve the right to charge a 50% restocking fee, and to impose a maximum refund limit of £250.

In other words, you'll get a refund of 50% of the purchase price once I’ve received the undamaged item/s back, up to a maximum of £250.

This is because all returned items have to be checked, photographed, and re-listed - at a big discount - as 'ready-made' sale sets  (like these)

I also have to find somewhere to store them until they are resold, which might be years.

(Click here to see where most returns end up)

I operate a different policy with single tile samples. On individual tile samples, I will refund 100% of the purchase price of the tiles once they're back with me.

Shipping is non-refundable in either direction.

Glass Splashbacks: As they are made to order in bespoke sizes, all glass splashbacks are non-returnable and non-refundable. Please check your dimensions carefully before ordering!

Wallpaper: As wallpaper is printed to order, it is non-refundable and non-returnable. Please check you're ordering exactly the right paper type and quantity for your project.

If you find a fault, or the wrong item has been delivered, please contact me and I'll arrange for a replacement to be dispatched as soon as possible.

DUTY & TAX

Some countries do charge import duty and / or tax on shipments from the UK.

(There's more info on the new US import duty and tarrif arrangements here)

The shipment value at which duty starts to be applied, and the charge, varies enormously. It also changes regularly, and (in my experience) is inconsistently applied.

In other words, some large, expensive parcels get through without any additions, and some small, inexpensive shipments don't.

I ship to more than 180 different states, countries and territories and, to be honest, I can't keep up with the import arrangments for them all.

So all shipments are sent 'duty unpaid'.

This means if a shipment ends up with fees to pay on import, it's down to the recipient to pay them.

If you choose not to pay the duty, the parcel may be destroyed, or it may be returned to me (sometimes with hefty charges added).

For this reason, parcels that are not delivered, are returned to me, or are destroyed because of unpaid duties or taxes, are non refundable.

If this worries you, please investigate your local tax and import duty arrangments BEFORE placing your order.

USE CONTRARY TO GUIDELINES

The intended use and limitations of all our pieces are clearly stated in the listing

All of our pieces are closely inspected before shipping; we never knowingly send out anything imperfect.

Many of our pieces are also shipped with important installation instructions.

Inappropriate handling / failure to follow these instructions may cause permanent (non-refundable) damage to your item.

For instance, dragging tiles across each other or stacking them incorrectly during installation will chip corners, or leave permanent white 'scars' on the patterned surface.

Contact with intense heat or flame, use of heavy abrasives and chemical cleaners, or installation in inappropriate locations may harm decorative finishes.

Please take note of the care instructions / useage guidelines before using or installing your item/s.

If you're using a professional installer, please draw their attention to these guidelines before letting them loose on your project!

We can't refund items that have been used, or installed, contrary to their intended use or stated limitations.

  HOW TO RETURN ITEMS

If you have items to return, please...

  1. Contact me to let me know what's gone wrong and to work out how to proceed. This is because, in a busy studio, an 'unnanounced' parcel may sit unopened for weeks. It may even get unpacked and put away without me knowing.
  2. Send pictures if your items are faulty or damaged. I need these to claim on my postal insurance; refunds can't be issued without them.
  3. Package items to be returned in the the same manner as they were shipped, using the same appropriately protective layers.
  4. Get proof of postage. I would strongly recommend a tracked service, as I can't refund items that go missing, or arrive damaged.

I will issue a refund as soon as the piece arrives back safely on my desk, but depending on your payment method, it may take several days for the refund to be processed.
