This beautiful toughened glass trivet is a true multi-tasker:

- a gorgeous worktop saver
- an easy clean chopping board
- a heatproof pan stand
- and an elegant way to serve breads, cheeses, cakes or pastries.

The pattern - like all my designs - started life as piece of millefiori clay. It has quite an Art Deco feel, with lovely tones of aqua, turquoise and taupe.

€¢ plenty large enough for large pans, measuring 20 x 28 cm (7.9 x 11 inches)
€¢ four silcone feet lift the glass off your worktop, protecting it from hot items
€¢ a "DoodlePippin - handmade in England" - seal is on the reverse of the board, to mark it as an original & unique design
€¢ Handwash and dry please. The glass surface is tough and hardwearing but the reverse side (which carries the design) will scratch and fade if put through the dishwasher

€¢ Each chopping board is hand-made to order so please allow 3 days "making time" before the item is shipped.

I personally hand-print all of my cookware items at my home studio in Reigate, England, using only my own designs.
€¢ All my patterns arise from my work as a polymer artist, particularly from the ancient glassworking technique, "Millefiori". which I use a lot.
€¢ Many of my patterns have been compared to those of the famous 19th Century fabric and wallpaper designer William Morris, but millefiori can also produce stunning floral patterns such as this one.

CURIOUS about how the I use the Millefiori technique to create these beautiful patterns?

colour wheel
Colour is very subjective at the best of times. And every PC, phone and tablet screen shows colours differently, too.
So if you’re trying to match a particular fabric or colour scheme, or aren't 100% sure, I’d strongly recommend buying a sample before going ‘all in’!
I often include video snippets in listings as I find video in daylight is a better guide to how an item looks “in the flesh".
Bear in mind too, that pieces produced in one week may look subtly (or even markedly) different to those produced a month later.  For example, a sample tile ordered in June is unlikely to be identical to a batch I make in September.
Specifications, designs, colourways and availability are subject to change without notice.
However I do hold onto old designs, so if you want something and can't see it listed, please contact me.
