Tariffs-Paid Shipping Trial starting July 2026
Last year the US Government imposed new taxes (tariffs) on American consumers receiving goods from overseas.
The tariff situation has changed many times since then, and remains unstable. Which is a major headache for both US citizens, and non-US sellers like me.
To try to avoid our US and Canadian customers getting unexpected bills when their orders are delivered, we are trialling paying these taxes at the point of shipping.
It's an experiment which will probably last a few weeks or a couple of months. We need to work out which couriers are the most cost effective, and to get a handle on how much 'duty paid' shipping adds to our costs.
We'll review our findings towards the end of the summer and decide what to do going forward.
