Which Cushion?

Aztec Orange Black Cushion
I put my designs on two different types of cushion.
The first are the relatively cheap and cheerful 'Hardwearing Polyester' version. These are printed and sewn for me by a company based in the USA with a print shop in Latvia.
They print exclusively onto a thick sturdy polyester which takes colours beautifully and sews exceptionally well. It's also very tough and washes without fuss or fading. And they offer both "cover only" and "pad included" options, as well as a range of sizes.
The second are the 'Luxury Cotton Linen Cushions'. I get the fabric (a lovely, slightly textured Cotton-Linen blend) digitally printed in the UK.  I then get my local seamstress friend Emma to hand sew them, including putting zips in etc.
The fabric is sturdy but, being a natural material, is likely to have small imperfections, lighter spots (particularly on darker or solid colour designs) and other 'flaws'. It also needs more care with washing, although it's still machine washable, and the design may fade gradually over repeated washing. It will get softer and more pliable with use, too.
The upshot is that, if you want a no-fuss hardwearing pillow for a kids room or a family living room, you should probably go for the polyester version.
If you're in the market for a luxury treat that you're happy to look after a bit, go for the cotton-linen luxury one.
