Make a beautiful and unique piece of wall art with these ceramic alphabet tiles, hand printed with beautiful patterned letters.

They're an elegant, grown-up take on the ubiquitous "Scrabble Tile" pictures. Decorate an entire wall with your family's initials. Or create a really personal wedding, retirement or new home gift!

You can add to your Alphabet with symbols, including "&", hearts, pawprints, and pet / animal silhouettes.

You can frame a set of these tiles, using standard "tile frames" which allow you to drop the tiles into position. No glass or pins to worry about - just stick the tiles in place and hang using the ready-made frame. The frames pictured are from the UK tile frame company here; http://boxframes.co.uk/tile-frames.

Or choose a ready-to-hang version with a hook on the back of each tile - simply hang in whichever arrangement suits you best.

The letters are made from my original millefiori design - a pretty mid-blue floral pattern I call "blue Turkish flower". -

  • This listing is for a single hand-printed tile
  • 15cm / 6 inch square
  • choose your letters, and hanging required, from the drop down menu
  • 6mm or 1/4 inch thick
  • glossy reflective surface
  • ceramic
  • gently rounded top edge
  •  ridged unglazed back
  • heat printed in my home studio, using my own millefiori designs

These are handmade to order, so a slight variation between each tile is to be expected.

PLEASE NOTE: these tiles are heat printed for decorative use only - they will scratch if you drag or drop items on the surface - not suitable for use as coasters or pot stands - not suitable for outdoors or conservatories - not suitable for areas which receive a lot of direct sunlight or UV as the design may fade over the years

Tiles are not great candidates for shipping, being both heavy and fragile! However I have now shipped DoodlePippin tiles all over the world, with remarkably few breakages.

Making time:  Heat printed tiles made in my studio will take 3-5 days from order to dispatch.

Kiln-fired (Fired Ink) tiles take longer. You can expect them to be dispatched 3-4 weeks after they're ordered.

Your tiles will be sent to the address given by you in your order, (please make sure it's the correct one as parcels sent to the "wrong" address are non-refundable).

My standard UK shipping is Royal Mail Second Class Tracked for small parcels, and DPD or another parcel courier for larger packages over 2kg. A contact number to enable the courier to get in touch with you is extremely useful and in some cases required.

Royal Mail Second Class aims to get your parcel to you in 3-5 business days (including Saturdays). Obviously Christmas, Easter and bank holidays are a bit more of a lottery! If I know there's a problem or a delay, I will contact you via email to let you know.

International shipping:  Unfortunately, since the advent of Covid, the cost of international shipping has gone through the roof. The shipping cost will be based on the weight and size of your parcel.

Please bear in mind that overseas orders can be subject to unexpected and sometimes very lengthy delays that are outside of my control (eg hold ups in customs).

They may also be subject to customs and import duties that I know nothing about and am not responsible for.

If you are concerned about local taxes and import duties that your parcel might attract, please check with your local tax / import duty authorities before you order.

The main difference between my heat printed DoodlePippin tiles, and the kiln-fired 'Fired Ink' version, is in their intended use.

colour wheel
Colour is very subjective at the best of times. And every PC, phone and tablet screen shows colours differently, too.
So if you’re trying to match a particular fabric or colour scheme, or aren't 100% sure, I’d strongly recommend buying a sample before going ‘all in’!
I often include video snippets in listings as I find video in daylight is a better guide to how an item looks “in the flesh".
_
Bear in mind too, that pieces produced in one week may look subtly (or even markedly) different to those produced a month later.  For example, a sample tile ordered in June is unlikely to be identical to a batch I make in September.

However I do hold onto old designs, so if you want something and can't see it listed, please contact me.
