If you've already done a beginner's course, then an intermediate workshop would be a great way of extending your polymer skills and adding some exciting new techniques to your repertoiore.

Llike all my workshops, this is a relaxed, informal class with plenty of time to experiment and an experienced and friendly tutor on hand. Maximum of 6 participants.

Classes last for about three hours and you can work at your own pace. There is plenty of free parking and a Costa Coffee nearby for lunch.

My intermediate workshops cover:

  • how to use the pasta machine to create a colour blended sheet using the technique developed by Judith Skinner (the "Skinner blend").

  • How to turn your graduated sheet of clay into several different cane components including a stack, a cylinder and a 'plug'.

  • how to use each of these types of graduated canes to create incredible complex cane patterns.

  • depending on remaining time, we can use our canes / patterns to create a range of items including bangles, pendants, keyrings and fridge magnets

  • You might also like to bring small ceramic or metal items such as teaspoons / cake slices or porcelain pots to cover with your clay design
