Delivery and returns

In common with many artists and craftspeople who sell their work online, I have a love-hate relationship with couriers and postal services.  They are great when they work... and awful when they don't.

For most items, for most of the UK, I post items Royal Mail Second Class as it's a good compromise between speed and cost.

This service aims to get parcels to you in 2-3 working days, including Saturdays. Obviously this is a guideline - at some times of year, it may take longer. Sometimes much longer!

For larger & heavier UK parcels I use DPD as I've found them to be the most reliable. And receiving parcels is easy with them because they give you a timed 1 hour delivery slot on the day. Plus, if they have your mobile number, they will allow you to sign up to have your parcel delivered to "a safe place" (at your own risk, obviously). This is one of the reasons I ask for an email address AND a phone number for deliveries.

For most Overseas Orders I use a service called Interparcel which uses the destination country's own postal service. Price and speed of delivery varies but a week to ten days is common. Occasionally it will be longer - sometimes much longer.

I am not responsible for customs delays, fees and taxes that are payable locally. Please check these out in advance of ordering if you're worried.

Quick turnaround / urgent orders. If you need something in a hurry, please contact me before ordering. Faster postal services are available, but at a cost. I will happily get you a quote.

Returns and exchanges

I want you to be 100% delighted with your purchase. So if for any reason you are not, please contact me!

I accept returns on most pieces, and will refund 100% of the purchase price. Postage charges are non-refundable, unless the return is a result of our error (for instance, you received an incorrect item). 

I'm sorry but I cannot accept returns on bespoke or special order pieces unless they are faulty.

If you have items to return, please... 

1. Contact me to let me know what's gone wrong.
2 Package items to be returned in the same manner as they were shipped. (If your return arrives broken in transit I can't refund you!).
3. Get proof of postage.

I will issue a refund as soon as the piece arrives but it may take several days for the refund to be processed.

If a piece is damaged when you receive it, I will of course refund or replace it free of charge.

However, in order for me to claim on my postal insurance you will need to either return the item or take detailed photos of the damage and email them to me for my records.
